Set up Braintree account to collect credit card payments in Signmee

With Braintree enabled, you can accept payments online and let customers make a payment with one touch.

Braintree set up

Register for a Braintree Merchant account at https://www.braintreepayments.com. NOTE: A Braintree merchant account may take several days to set up, as the Braintree team validate and verify all merchants before issuing Braintree accounts. For support with merchant account set-up, please contact the Signmee Braintree account manager todd.atkins@braintreepayments.com.

Add your Braintree Merchant Account details in Signmee

You will need to open Braintree to find your merchant keys. Once you have these, you will need to open Signmee and place the keys in your account setting to activate Braintree.

Step 1:

Log in to your Braintree 'Production' merchant account.


Step 2:

Click on Account link, then My user


Step 3: 

Click on API Keys link



Step 4:

Click on 'View' to reveal your Private Key



Step 5:

Copy and past the Merchant ID, Public Key and Private Key into Signmee (see Step 6 for details on where to paste in Signmee)


Step 6:

Paste Merchant ID and keys from Braintree into the corresponding fields in Signmee.


Step 7:

Find the Merchant Account in Braintree by clicking on Settings, Processing



Step 8:

Copy Merchant Account ID - do not include the words in brackets. E.g. (deafult)

Step 9:

Paste Merchant Account ID into Signmee




Press 'Save'. 

Congratulations! You are now ready to receive credit card payments in Signmee. See 'Credit card payments' for details on customer payment process.
